‘Felt like home’: Irish man leaves home to start a new life in Australia
A 27-year-old man from Longford who had been living in Australia for the past three years is finally getting his first taste of Australian life after moving from Dublin to the small city of Byrne in the Southern Highlands.
In a video uploaded to Facebook, the man described feeling like home in ByrNE.
“I’m back to Dublin and it’s a new place for me,” he said.
“It feels like home and I feel very connected to it.”
The local community is welcoming and there are a lot of people who are just enjoying the weather here and just enjoying themselves.
“The man is now travelling to Sydney for a wedding with his fiancee on April 10.”
My fiancé and I will be getting married this week and we’re all very excited,” he added.”
We’re all really looking forward to getting married.
